Houston Rapid Transit Joint Venture utilizing Dataforensics’ PDensity and PConcrete

Norcross, GA, October 1, 2010 – The HRT joint venture, which was established to design, build and manage the $1.46 billion dollar Houston Light Rail Project,  is currently utilizing PDensity and PConcrete; two software applications developed by Dataforensics.

The Houston Light Rail Project has comprehensive and meticulous quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) standards to which several organizations needed instant and simultaneous access. In order to meet those standards and access demands, Dataforensics developed a web-based application for PDensity and PConcrete. The web-based application is capable of managing all data required for field density and concrete testing. This includes management of specifications, material properties, results from field tests and laboratory tests, and also generating reports.

Subcontractors on the Houston Light Rail Project are able to use the PDensity and PConcrete software applications to digitally record, manage and report all soil and asphalt density test and concrete test results, all in a single database system. The digital system allows HRT personnel fast and easy access to all data within the system and also shortens the time to analyze and report data as compared to the manual process used prior to the PDensity and PConcrete deployment. Advanced filtering and analysis capabilities also help HRT personnel ensure QA and QC personnel are performing the correct number of tests for each project phase.

Scott Deaton, Dataforensics president stated, “Dataforensics is very excited to enhance our data management applications PDensity and PConcrete to the next level: a web-based data management system with the capacity to create flexible, integrated reports. In creating the web-based application, PDensity and PConcrete have encapsulated the data management process with which all personnel related to the project, whether with the core organization or a subcontractor, who have a web browser can access and use these applications to finish their tasks more efficiently than ever before when several applications and data entry methods were utilized. The enhanced analysis and reporting capacities within this enterprise data management application can greatly improve today’s QA.QC project state of the practice on a global scale.”

TESTIMONIALS

"I have gotten addicted to that PLog. One of my favorite things about PLog is that you don’t have papers that are blowing in the wind or getting wet from rain and snow."
